If it weren't for your flat fingers and the thin sliver of black line I would have said you were faking it
Also a very slight glare at the top of the pane.
I just tilted my phone to see the glare like an idiot.
If you tilt it the other way you can see the glare like a smart person.
thank you i giggled
no problem friend :)
Originally read this as no top butok. I was so confused until I clicked on the sub.
If you replace your phone with an imaginary salt shaker, stick out your tongue, and shake it on your tongue for 10 seconds (sometimes it takes 15 seconds), you can taste the salt.
Youre right you can! Though this cum isnt as salty as the last guys.
I've been eating pineapple. pls come back.
Fuck. You got me.
I turned up the volume on my phone to help see the glare
I can't stop laughing, thank you!
I've been reading a book before and then tried to scroll up using my finger... smh
Work has a lot of numbers on whiteboards, if you're changing one but cant remember what it was before people have been known to say their first instinct was ctrl+Z
Or tried to tilt a picture/video on your phone to change the view?
also it bends the lines on the floor. oddly enough this is more noticeable with the image being smaller/non zoomed in version...
I believe it's the 'screen door effect', more an optical illusion than light-bending.
actual bending is noticeable around the edges, the lines don't add up/are odd angles in some spots.
the weird thing is the screen door effect only occurs where the glass is. Maybe it is due to where the camera was focused at the time. slowly scroll zoom to see a neat effect, some does occur off the glass to the left side too.
If you look a little differently, you'll see arcs running across and making sort of an uneven mesh. It's from camera elements bending the light. Happens in any photo or video recording, but you only see it in some patterns. A scientist in Mexico, actually, just solved this problem after 2000 years of "can't be fixed" by physicists. He wrote an equation that predicts correct lens deformation to balance the light-bending; they were previously made through, basically, trial & error. Very expensive when you're looking at dozens of hair-thin custom lenses per prototype.
It's from camera elements
It's from camera elements
yeah that is what I was thinking, after some playing around.
They’re called Moire patterns!
It is! My first ones 😌
I have the same one. I was looking at it peaking out of the glove thinking it looked familiar!
you can also see an outline of it on the right
Spammer — check out u/Andrewsder posts random non-sequiter comments with links to their spam site, hoping to trick people into clicking on it.
Why does that site pass people through a redirect?
Seems scammy to me.
EDIT: this seems to be a recurring thing for you. 100% a scam to garner referral clicks.
Everyone downvote and report this asshole so he can’t make money off of something like this!
That's mildly interesting.
Just take the image and post it to r/mildlyinteresting and claim it as your own for sweet karma like you are supposed to do on reddit. /s
They just have to adjust it a bit so it can start a fire.
A glare is a reflection. Send it back.
My favorite part is how it has a shadow despite being so clear.
Also the phone shadow at the bottom
I can also see a reflection of the phone taking the photo, at the bottom.
Huh, I assumed that was a shadow
I'm pretty sure that's the shadow on the ground of him holding the phone, and not a reflection in the glass.. well, I'm not 100% sure, that's what it looks like to me. Maybe it would be larger if that was the case.
Holy shit.... you’re not lying
What am I looking at here? *snerk snerk snerk snerk
Hobby Lobby Frame Shop! Lol memories of working in that shop was awesome.
You don't happen to know why this works, do you?
This video might help some people still confused. This is just a scrap piece so it got a little dirty after I took the first photo
Came for the Glass, Stayed for the Tieflings.
Edit: a word.
This is genuinely my favorite post I’ve ever seen on this sub
My husband works in film and when I told him that was a scrap piece he said "wow". I guess this stuff is usually pretty expensive.
I was expecting a cup not a pane and was wondering where the glare was.....
I expected a gif or something. For the first 5 seconds of staring at this picture I was genuinely like, “The fuck is this? Why is this guy posting a picture of the floor with a dumb joke about invisible glass?”
Same. I thought “maybe they melted their gloves a bit and that’s why they are flat and we are all gullible”. I trust nothing on the internet at face value.
Which is what the whole purpose of that type of glass is.
Who's buying that, Wil-e-coyote?
No. Because this shit would work.
You can buy this type of glass for pinball machines so that you minimize glare/reflections from overhead lights while playing. For example: https://cointaker.com/products/hd-anti-reflection-pinball-glass
Damn. I was going to use it for a cabinet, but that glass is clearly only for pinball machines :(
Just install a pinball machine inside the cabinet
Pinball collector here. I used to work for a glass company and I’ve always wanted to figure out what coating or type of glass they use for invisiglass / anti reflective play field glass and see if I could order some directly from one of the vendors we used.
I just know I was able to get regular tempered playfield glass for less than $10 , so was assuming I could get the fancy stuff a lot cheaper than what’s out there too
omg me too. I was like, what's with the random insult?
Also a shadow at the bottom of the picture.
what if he just knows how to flatten his fingers?
That would be quite the obscure superpower.
Best mime in the world
Birds can't see glass!
Birds arent real
I needed this comment to understand what was happening in the image
Oh shit I thought he was lying until I read this and looked at his fingertips.
I saw the sliver but didn’t notice the fingers. This got better for me. Thanks
It is clear this transparent showing of bird cruelty.
I legit thought OP was doing a bamboozle until your comment.
Why you holding John Cena?
At first i thought you said fat fingers and i was like geez that's rude
I stared at this photo for sooo long.
Heaven forbid you set it down lol
Never to be seen again until crunch
... would you be able to see the pieces, or would we deal with a ton of tiny sharp invisible shards?
Better set up a thirty mile barefoot exclusion zone.
Just nuke the whole place at that point
I hate to tell you this but nukes are hot enough to make the glass workable again. Possibly even making more stuff in the area into glass.
Yes but at least it'll all be in one piece again.
But how sharp could it be..?
Glass it from space!.... wait.
this is why we have ghost towns
Presumably the edges would be just as visible as always. I believe this type of glass has a coating that reduces the reflections.
Add some poison and you got yourself a gu mine
I'd bet it'd be more visible, since that way we get lots of clearly visible edges (in the light).
I’m another framer and you are completely correct
Why would you start eating the floor, though?
Or worse, shattering it into a thousand invisible deadly pieces
Their scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.
You can see the glass still casts a shadow, down on the floor.
Heaven forbid your flying car be made out if it. Right Wonder Woman?
This is what mimes use
I imagine mimes browsing through an isle of just clear glass, like you do in a supermarket
I imagine mimes be on a trenchcoat on a shady alley way trading clear glass like "you got the goods" "yea man, i got the goods, shit's like 99.9% clear" "those suckers wouldn't even see you coming" "aight aight"
I'm loving the image of two mimes in an alleyway trying to do dodgy deals, but they're miming it all.
When the deal is done and the guy is leaving he bangs into an invisible wall
but it’s actually just this glass
If two mimes talk in an alleyway but nobody is around to hear them, did they really talk?
Lmao then he hands him what looks like nothing so it still looks like a completely mime deal
All along, they were just trying to warn us.
Dammit did you really have to reveal our secrets?!!!
French hate him
I would 100% walk into this.
Are you using using it for a sliding glass door or a window??
I work at a frame shop! A customer is framing a massive photo of Peter Dinklage and really want to make sure no glare distracts from his radiance
I own a frame shop, and I recognized the boxes in the rack right away :) Just be careful to set expectations; while Museum Glass does eliminate reflections while you're looking straight at it in diffuse light, no glass in the world can eliminate reflections from bright light sources directly in front of it. I've had customers bring back their frames because "the expensive glass still reflects"
You should still oblige and give them the most expensive option -- it weighs nothing and is so non-reflective you can't even feel it!
Just like my new jumpsuit
It’s like you’re wearing nothing at all. Nothing at all. Nothing at all.
D'ohhh! Stupid sexy Flanders!
Well hey, hot stuff. What's a sexy emperor like you doing on a website like this?
I had my house redone in this stuff. It's called transphasic and it's awesome. Basically, the windows don't reflect, and you can't even tell when you close them they're so clear. The wind comes right through, although I was assured they're double pane and R36.
Cost an arm and a leg, but the salesman included the cost of removing the old glass, so it was at least easy to make the swap.
Are these the ones that let rain through so it doesnt mark the glass? Mine seem to.
For sure. If I took the photo at a different angle you would still see the overhead lights, but not much else.
Just had a customer do this despite my explanations...
We would always have a stunning example at eye level that people would see and say, "wait there's glass on that??" But above that we'd have the examples of conservation clear and museum again side by side, with the track lights pointed right at them. And I'd explain how a direct spot light will produce a glare but there's no distortion, reflection, etc. The examples made sure nobody felt lied to later but also made regular glass look like shit.
Yeah but it’s better than the light reflection from conservation clear. Museum for life.
I have so many questions.
Who has a massive, framed photo of Peter Dinklage? Seems random.
I mean, not that he isn’t awesome but I’d expect it to be, uh, life-sized.
Maybe the buyer is Peter Dinklage?
I used to work in a factory that did custom framing, and you wouldn’t believe some of the stupid stuff people waste hundreds of dollars on to have frames
Certainly not Charles Dance, if Game of Thrones had taught me anything.
I like their priorities.
I mean, duh. What else would one use it for than to have a glare-free Dinklage?
I knew this was a frame shop just by the gloves and boxes. Worked at one for 6 years.
So it’s a life size photo?
I also work at a frame shoppe i love those gloves you have we only have the poopy ones and they don't fully protect from the oil on your hands and cleaning museum glass is a nightmare
Are these special? They look like gardening gloves, but I could totally see them being different.
Special to me because I use the shitty thin gloves provided 🤷♀️
It sucks when your work doesn't provide good tools. That said, they're pretty cheap if you want to grab yourself a couple pairs.
A customer is framing a massive photo of Peter Dinklage
A customer is framing a massive photo of Peter Dinklage
Do I want to know why?
But what if I want Peter Dinklage to glare at me!?
Isn't this called museum glass?
YOU HEARD ME
Two thoughts come to mind:
That’s incredible and I’m a bit jealous.
Some people really do not deserve to have money.
But hey, you’re getting paid. Good on ya.
I fucking hate this stuff. You so much as look at it wrong and it gets smudges on it.
And here I am daydreaming about enough of this to build a custom aquarium.
It's called museum glass or invisible glass. You really can see the difference irl.. expensive tho. But if you're spending hundreds to frame something you don't want to be annoyed every time you see it.
Let's hope it doesn't get used for windows or doors. It'd kill so many birds because they'd fly straight into it, and never see it
It's museum glass, it's used for framed art. It will catch a reflection at other angles but definitely won't be used for windows or doors. Source: OP said he works in a frame shop.
Especially if I hear the ice cream truck.
I'd love to see videos of people bumping into these
This story is the best I could do. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/mar/05/apple-park-workers-hurt-glass-walls-norman-foster-steve-jobs
Apple isn't compatible with Windows? go figure
Apparently even for Apple's buildings, the problem is that you're using it wrong.
You’re using it wrong because you don’t understand design /s
Can confirm do work at Apple and have bumped into a glass door before
They put black strips on all the windows to prevent this
That is some sexy glass you got there buddy. Take your upvote you gentle glass handler you.
Sexy it's so thin you can hardly see her
I was like: I am not falling for that untill i read comments
Nice try, OP
That must be a pane to find if you set it down
he'd sill be looking for it years from now
Oh come on, if he couldn't see it his eyes must have been completely glazed over
You just have flat fingers?
You got me. ""flat finger Dan" that's what they call me
All the girls go crazy for ole flat fingers Dan
<ZZ Top intensifies>
That’s why you don’t rub sand paper
OP postes a picture with only a gloved hand and thinks I won't notice that there's no glass at all. Luckily I saw through his ruse.
He's so fricking dumbass.
I have a big photograph framed with that glass and it us really wild when you stop and think about it.
when its clean it really is invisible
it also cost me $600 to have that photograph professionally mounted with that glass, that shit isnt cheap
You can get ArtGlass Anti-Reflective glass for much more reasonable prices here https://www.framedestination.com/framing-supplies/glass-and-acrylic.html
You can get the entire custom frame with that glass for a reasonable price as long as you don’t mind mounting the photo in the picture frame yourself.
As the owner I am of course biased.
Homeboy saw people discussing the obscure thing he sells, and absolutely WENT for that sell
This is the only plug I support
This is the only plug I support
He also disclosed that he was actively shilling too, and not just a satisfied customer.
I don't know if "a picture frame, but with better glass" counts as obscure.
How many people do you know that actively choose to reframe their photos?
Ayyy bioshock tattoo boys we out here. I like how tight yours are
You can see the edge towards the right for people having a hard time.
I'm still having a hard time, but thanks for the help with this issue.
I can't even see it lmao
Look to the right of his hand and you can see the edge of the pane
I see it now
why are you holding a picture of John Cena?
Happy cake day :)
That's a great question
Birds hate it!
actually birds crash into windows because they see a reflection of trees, bushes, the sky etc. That have no interest in flying into buildings
I honestly thought you were messing with us at first. Couldn't see a thing and assumed shenanigans!
This puts the anti-reflective coating on most glasses to shame.
The company (tru vue) makes glass for windshields, glasses, etc. They have a lot of subsidiaries. Also fun museum glass fact: it's made in a long ass oven, there's only one in the world that can do it. ...Or only one factory. And that was a few years ago. Anyway they bake it to get that glazing on. Or something. There were free bagels at the seminar.
Ever wondered what it's like to be a bee smacking its head against a window, confused and afraid?
Is that a ladder tattoo?
It's Duchamp's Wheel. A bicycle wheel in a stool lol
I have never heard of him and had to look it up. I am totally getting into kinetic sculpture. A spinning wheel would be pleasant to look at. I often stare at my work fan while I’m on the phone.
Oh, This isn't a trick to make me feel stupid.
Just barely can see the edge.
Bout that Frame Shop life.
In this thread to identify and verbally high five all the other custom framers. (high five)
✋🏽 Frame Gang!
*shoots fletcher points in the air* Whuddup!
*pops a pizza in the drymount press* who's ready to party???
(aggressively ATGing mat corners all over the walls as decorations)
Throw in some hot sandwiches, just in case.
(celebratory spritz of purple glass cleaner)
AKA "making it rain!"
You ready to celebrate the way only custom framers can: by slicing the web between your thumb and index finger with the bevel of a mat window??
I literally did that several days ago.
So many birds are going to die.
If you look at the bezels of the glass, you can see the difference in the texture in the air covered floor as opposed to the glass covered floor, because of different light refraction. If he wasn't holding it at an angle it would be impossible to tell.
Killer of pigeons. Bane of running children.
Museum Glass is expensive, but very nice!
RIP birds that smack in to it
birds hit windows because of reflections. this could actually save a lot of birds
Took me a minute, but damm, you werent lying
You can see it on the right: a line of....window.
I just think about all the birds this will kill :(
Thanks, birds hate this
I legit was saying, "You're not holding anyth--" and then saw your glove, and shut up.
I hope that is not used in outside windows. All the birds are going to be dead.
Goddamn, that’s wild.
How long until someone walks right into it?
Man really just karma profited off of pretending to hold glass
Birds worst nightmare
Plot twist. OP is holding nothing.
Looks like TruVue Museum Glass
Once enough people run into it there will be enough make up and face prints to make it visible.
Naah. He's just a great mime!
Vantaglass? Make Anish Kapoor walk into it!
Should've mentioned the teapot; can't see that at all.
Bird Murderer 2.0
Dead birds everywhere
You Have Got To See This Miracle Glass! Birds Hate it!
If it weren’t for the impression of the glass on your gloves I would have said you’re lying lol
Birds would get a hit out of this.
I was so confused then noticed a small outline
I noticed his flattened fingers
Angry Bird Noises
Birds are gonna die.
This thing is gonna fuck up so many birds.
All fun and games until someone breaks this pane
As a window cleaner.... HHHNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG 🤤
Legit thought this was a troll post... L O L
what could possibly go wrong
That thing is gonna murder SO many birds
Imagine this used in unison with that super black stuff...the possibilities!
How it feels to be working in a IT Department.
Make a door with this glass and install some cameras. It will be Karma profit for sure.
If you say so....?
This is what they made the invisible boat mobile out of
Is this the stuff that two guys carry across a busy street during a car chase?
So how many times a day do you have to wipe customers' finger prints off your museum glass example display?
Birds hate this guy.
Idk why that made me laugh so much... Thank you random citizen!
Thought this was fake at first. This one is a bird killer for sure.
I didn't believe OP was holding anything, until I noticed the pressure on his finger tips.
I thought it was on the floor what the fuck
You lie, this is all lies!
Birds are gonna love this one
I have some of my own
In 2017 I walked straight through a glass door in Thailand and cut my leg and hands up so badly I needed ~30 stitches. This shit is literally my worst nightmare lol
"birds hate this one simple trick!
They need to start making glasses out of it.
Love this museum glass! Worked for 5yrs in a large franchise's frame shop. Now I can't put anything else but it in my own stuff.
where the glass... why are you taking a picture of your hand... and why do I have an erection?
Why are you holing my hopes and dreams?
I straight up was staring at the noise patterns totally convinced it was shopped, but fuck me that's just very, very clear glass.
Ha! I can tell it's fake because I can see a reflection of my face in it!
I thought this was a troll post at first
me holding a love letter from my girlfriend
I was this close from calling you a liar. Your flat fingers proved me wrong!
I can't wait to run into that door!
If John Cena was a pane of glass.
Great for certain magic tricks.
How do you make glare free glass?!?
There are two main ways to do it. One is to etcg the glass in a way that the surface still appears smooth but any reflected light is scattered rather than speculaely reflected(glare). The second way is to apply an anti-reflective interference coating to the glass that increases the transmission of light through the material. Based on the way he is handling the glass this is almost certainly etched anti-glare glass. You would never touch the surface of a coated optic.
Legit thought it was fake till I saw the seam on the right
I was about to say this was fake but then I saw the edges. That's crazy.
SWEET FANCY MOSES
A bunch of doors are gonna get walked into soon
Imagine forgetting where you put that down
Invisible man sending nudes
Whelp, I look forward to accidentally walking through this like the Kool-Aid man someday.
How does it “kill” the reflection? (Whats the magical science behind it)
That oughta take out some birds!
I kept waiting for the gif to load...
What sorcery is this...?
I commend your glove use... but I also shame you for not wearing wristlets
Now we could really think about putting front camera under the screen :p
near 1 refractive index, near zero reflections
kinda mildly infuriating too when you think about it. Dude walks into huge frickin thing of reflectionless glass and doesnt realise, which is kind of funny too i guess!
Dont set it down! You will never find it again!
We're on to you, Kyle Hill...
Is that a ladder tattooed on your arm, it looks neat, I’d like to see it.
Why is this man holding nothing?
What glass is it that you are speaking off?
I’m having a hard time figure it out it’s use. I would make for a great joke on a sliding door though.
I want this for my fish tank so badly
I’ll believe it when I’ve seen it.
Wow, someone must've gone crazy with that Windex.
Would be great if they used this material in building glass doors....
Fucking great now I have more things to bump into and let people laugh at me while I discover with what the fuck I touched
Why is there just a picture of a hand here
I totally thought this was just some BS.
I’m charging you with the attempted murder of every bird on Earth.
"Now where did I leave that glass pane?"
I could almost take a picture of my empty hand and put my fingers like you had them and make people believe I was holding a glass pane
Hey, a fellow Bioshock fan! I have the same chains on my wrists
I thought this post was about your glove or something
Footage of this glass used in public: https://gfycat.com/repentantthisgyrfalcon
What would happen if this was used to make a mirror?
this is going to be great for birds.
Perfect for a glass door in a public building
Ready to break noses!
Ok, sure buddy
my phones screen is cracked
couldnt see the line
Like anyone can even afford to have Optium in their shop!! (jk but optium is incredible)
Concussions, broken noses, & chipped teeth for all!
I want this on my dining table and freak everyone out.
I'd love to have a low iron glass that was "reflection free" for building dope af aquariums.
Would probably cost both an arm and a leg tho.
If you wrote on it it would look like floating text
Nice Bioshock Tattoo
They should call it the Darwin make
Birds hate OP
Get me a shirt that says "Women Want Me, Birds FEAR me"
Thought it was another crack in my screen
So transparent I bumped my head on the screen.
Can't tell if you're joking
turns out the glass isnt even real
I cant see anything, but ik its there cuz of how ur finger tips lool pressed
They call it the bird trap 3000.
I thought I was being had until I saw the edge
It's as though millions of birds suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
Whoever invented this is evil.
Now I understand why Michael ran through the sliding glass door after he heard the ice cream truck...it was made from this glass
I thought he was holding air st first
This reminds me of my time working at a Michael’s frame shop! That was a fun job
I also worked at one and enjoyed that job.
Yeah it was cool seeing different artwork although most of the time where I was worked it was mainly family pictures
Yeah and a shit ton of Thomas Kincaid mess. but there was some good stuff nestled in.
There was a time that we had some placenta artwork...but I elected not to frame that and leave it for someone else.
Haha yes! So much Bob Ross looking crap from old people. Um like a drawing of a placenta? With a baby and everything? Why would anyone want that framed and hung...
Not quite, it's something where post-birth they take the placenta and plop it on down on some paper to leave some vaguely coffee stain looking piece. then you deliver it to your local michael's to be framed by some unsuspecting college kid.
I literally thought it was a coffee stain until I flipped it over and saw a stamp for "such and such placenta artworks" or similar.
Wow that’s pretty nasty. I feel like getting your babies hand and footprints inked and framed would be a much better and not gross alternative but hey that’s just me
"If you learn anything - it wasn't wasted time." - Bob Ross
Holy shit that's nuts
Great, more doors/windows I can walk into
RIP all the bug bois whose lives will end to this
Makes me feel bad for birds.
My suspicions are confirmed. You’re a wizard.
RIP bird bois
You can honestly remove it and noone would notice.
Definitely do not put that down anywhere
I used to work in a sign shop and we had a display for museum glass like this with a ribbon behind it, people would always try to touch it because it looks like absolutely nothing is there.
We use AR-2 water white glass in our theater's port windows; when we had these installed for the 1st time, I actually though I was being punked. It wasnt until I tried to prove to them that it wasn't installed yet, that I noticed it... almost zero reflection.
best house of mirrors ever
Now they're making weapons that just target birds? What's the world coming to?
Birds are going to have one fun flight... may god have mercy on their souls
"Mimes hate him! How one Reddit poster exposed an industry."
What type of wizard awesomeness is this?!
"Fk this invention"
This needs to be applied to smart phones. As I'm typing this I'm seeing my stupid mug looking back at me
I refused to believe. Damn
Is that TruVue Museum Glass? Used to work in a frame shop and hated handling that stuff, always ended up breaking/scratching it when cutting it down to size.
The glass is no one.
Whoah! That was trippy. I literally had to notice the border on the right to notice any glass there!
"Hes not holding anyt.......oh".
Perfect for slide glass doors
Dude I'd run into that every day
*Mounts cam, replaces sliding-door glass, evil chuckle ;)
There should be silhouettes of humans stuck on those
IRL minecraft barrier blocks.
Better put ugly black bird stickers all over
Picture framer here. Can confirm. This is Art-Glass or True Vue.
want. my pinball machine requires it
Legit thought this was just a hand until I put my glasses on lmao
Ha this guy is holding nothing you can’t fool me!!
This is too interesting to be considered mildly interesting
Pretty sure this is /r/interestingasfuck material right here.
What reflection-free glass?
It's so clear I can't tell what size or shape it is
Wow. Def thought I was being trolled at first
Is this the doom of city birds?
Birds Hate Him! See how this glass maker creates invisible panes that can't be detected!
I thought I was being bamboozled and had to check I wasnt in r/notinteresting
Which Micahel's do you work in?
my mans posted a pic of nothing thinking we wouldnt notice
jk leave me alone
You guys ready for more kids dying by running through plate-glass doors? Because I'm not.
I need glasses made out of this stuff
I genuinely thought this was a joke until I saw the fingers and little line
So cool... I didn't know reflection free glass was a thing...
As a person who likes birds, I hate this.
It’s for custom framing so birds are safe from this one!! (Hopefully)
Imagine you lose it...
What reflection free glass?
Kramer - Windscreen Coffee Table
Nice try OP holding camouflage
Damn, I miss framing
i actually scrolled past this picture like twice without reading the caption because i thought it was just a picture of someone’s hand.....
this makes me so uncomfortable, wtf
Now to yeet that at someone
Should be used for all glass doors so we can watch people smack into them for comedy reasons
"goddammit, where did I put that sheet of glass this time?"
Eml5, what’s the utility, Are they used on Fancy cars, or designed to be? Are they used in military?
I like your Bioshock tattoo!
Is it possible to see more pics of it? Also, what are its dimensions? I'm having a hard time figuring those out.
That a bioshock Tat?
Shit I can barely even see the refraction at all
I'd 100% put it down and lose it forever
How the hell do you make reflection free glass?
When my phone full screens this image I see some slight aliasing so I can see where the glass is, but when I zoom in it looks invisible
the poor birbs though
Ok so you're a mime.
I know Mr Mime’s secret now.
This is what danger is made out of.
This must be the glass that that girl ran into head first 4 times.
The amount of small children and adults that are going to absolutely wreck the fuck out themselves walking into this shit and have it posted to r/funny give me reason to smile again. Thank you glass scientists, thank you
Translucent for sure.
I can already hear the thumping of dead birds....
Whatever, flat fingers
This shit would be the worst to clean up.
If you look at it like that, sure.
jesus Christ... he's holding it...
Took me five mins and a lot of zooming in to see it
Just remember to put a camera where that glass is going so we can all have embarrassing videos of people walking into it by accident.
I need this
Jk I don’t
At first I thought it was one of those "clear water" photos, that you were pretending to hold something. until I noticed the edge of the glass on the right. I was actually surprised.
Behold: The bane of birds and toddlers.
Imagine dropping that, shattering it, and trying to find the pieces.
Probably quicker to walk around then pick out the pieces from your sole. Feet or shoe, i recommend shoe for pain levels, feet for efficiency.
r/science bot, explanation please
The invisible boat mobile made out of this stuff
First thoughts: is this a joke? See flat fingers: dafuqqqqw
I can't even see the glass, just the one edge and the minor imperfections IN the glass. Wild.
okay but think of all the dogs that’ll develop trust issues 🥺
..... someone’s gonna run into that
What is this kind of glass used for?
This is used for custom framing— it has optical coatings that give it the properties of protecting the artwork from 99% of UV light and anti-reflectivity :)
