Seeing this library reminds me that the only two structures with real potential and food builds in minecraft are 1) ruined and underground (stronghold) or 2) vee, very rare (woodland mansion). I know that the villages are going to get upgraded, but I'd just love some more good-looking structures.
Woodland mansions are very rare? There are like 4 on the server I play on in ps4 lol
I think there's a bug in legacy edition where woodland mansions are a lot less rare, but I play the Java version.
Isn’t legacy 360 and ps3?
AFAIK it's xbox 360, ps3, ps4, old xbox 1 version, old switch version and wii u.
Oof... I thought it was only actual legacy consoles lol
You can get the legacy verison still. I uploaded my legacy maps when they introduced the new verison
My big castle is a legacy map thats been updated.
But idk how how up to date it actually is. It has the sea stuff.
Did you get the weird border/cutoff between old map and new map when you converted?
Yea but i didn't overwrite the world barrier one the legacy when they gave you the option to expand from 1 map.
I haven't gone to the second old edge to check and see if there's a weird edge
They are your legacy! We are your legacy!
actually Ps4 is running on what is basically just bedrock edition except slightly worse since Sony doesn't like its users, it's not legacy edition in the same way as the old gen consoles are.
Im a Playstation guy and I hate that I agree with you here.
PS4 is like the worst place to play minecraft, wheres all my missing features?
Do you know if Switch is any better?
Switch can crossplay with the XBox 1 so it at least has to be at feature parity in that regard.
It's pretty much the same as XB1 unless I somehow missed a bunch of extra stuff on XB1. I've played bedrock on Switch, XB1 and Pocket Edition. Haven't played the win10 version. Just dont feel like shelling out for ANOTHER copy of the game. (I also own xb360, ps3, wiiu, and win7 versions. I am not paying AGAIN.)
Edit: just remembered I alsp had alpha on my Windoes XP laptop. Christ.
If you have a java account, you can go to the Mojang website and get the code for Windows 10 version for free.
IIRC It should be under account settings.
If you bought the game in alpha, you more than likely already own the Windows 10 version.
PS4 just got updated today (or yesterday) actually, pretty much to the point of bedrock edition, it isn't that bad now, as I've heard. Didn't test it cause I play the java edition, but that's what I've heard.
We got the shield loom lectern crossbow and pillager but the pillager is only in creative spawn eggs. Also we got a texture update
I used to play Xbox until I got java. It's cool that it gets all the updates, but there are some bugs/missing features:
Damaged anvils can be mined and placed back down at full durability
The combat system is pre 1.9
The offhand slot only allows maps and arrows
You can only have like 10 ignited pieces of TNT at a time per world
The mob cap is super low
This is incorrect. PS4 does not run on Bedrock or anything similar. It runs on legacy console edition.
He never said it doesn't?
it's not legacy edition in the same way as the old gen consoles are.
it's not legacy edition in the same way as the old gen consoles are.
Yes he did. It is the same exact codebase as the other old gen consoles.
That's not a bug, it's intentional since the worlds aren't infinite.
Unlike your mom
Is it also the windows 10 version?
Windows 10 version has always been Bedrock.
Don't forget the New 3DS!
Everyone forgets about the New 3DS.
Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition (also known as Minecraft: PS4 Edition) is the PlayStation 4 edition of Minecraft being developed by 4J Studios for Mojang.
This edition is the only version of Legacy Console Edition that is still updated.
Legacy console doesn't have Woodland Mansions. Legacy consoles stopped updating like what? 3 Years ago.
Then PS4 isn't legacy then? cause We just got v1.90 which is the aquatic update with shields and crossbows and stuff
Pretty sure my ps3 edition has woodland mansions. Pretty sure i updated it like 3 weeks ago.
That’s just plain incorrect.
I have been playing for a month now again on Java edition, but haven't found one yet
They're not AS rare if you play on large biomes since theres more room for them to spawn, but if you're new to large biomes then prepare to do some walking because the biomes are uh... large
Sometimes you have to travel hundreds of thousands of blocks to find one, depends on luck
Given that every single seed I've ever played has been missing one crucial biome or common animal (or more than one, or a combination) within 50k blocks of spawn, I somehow doubt that I'm going to find the intentionally rare structure within that space, either. Hell, I haven't found more than 2 villages in that space for many, many versions now.
Unless I pick a seed from a YouTube video that has cool things right at spawn, there's always something important - usually Deserts, Jungles, or Swamps, Sheep, Horses, or Cows, sometimes Chickens but never Pigs since they're not as useful - that you can't find in 2 weeks of walking in any direction...
I had to travel hundreds of thousands of blocks just to find land. I spawned on an island in the middle of the ocean.
I traveled 4000 blocks to find a stronghold only to die, and then I went back to get my stuff only to die again
hundreds of thousands of blocks just to find land
hundreds of thousands of blocks just to find land
If that's not hyperbole (and on Java), I need that seed yesterday please.
Here it is.
ofc on large biome world type.
Ahh, large biome, that makes sense. Didn't think of that. Definitely gonna check it out though, thanks a ton.
It might have been 10s of thousands, but it most certainly was. Give me a sec I have to turn my pc on for the seed
At least you spawned on an island. One seed I started I landed in the ocean with no land in sight (in survival). I scrapped that seed and loaded another.
lmaoo bad luck. yeah i guess i got lucky cause the island i spawned on had 3 trees and coal that was viewable from the surface.
They are more common on legacy console because of the smaller worlds
I accidentally made it the largest possible (my friends hate me for that) and there are two in the same map #0 on the north and south sides
I had to travel about 20k blocks to find one
Never found one in bedrock =[
They usually generate tens of thousands of blocks away from spawn
I once had to start a new game because I was looking for a village but could only find woodland mansions
Yeah I could only find mansions but I finally found a village (well, my friend did) like waaaaaaaaaay off the original map
I've never seen one...
You are playing a server on ps4?
They are insanely common on PS4 compared to Bedrock/Java
In my bedrock survival the closest masion is 30k blocks from spawn
I have 2 friends who on the Xbox One version they refitted a single village as their base and the place looks magnificent.
It was on survival to get all the achievements but, there was a lot of work put into that base.
I was trying to do that but I went mining for a few days and all my villagers died and I have so many more achievements but it hurts that I’ve put all this time into building up a town that is now empty of villagers.
I remember a lot of people used to build railways to migrate villagers from new villages to dead ones to repopulate them. It’s definately a project but it shouldn’t be too difficult after a while of playing in a world.
Just cure 2 zombie villagers, let them do the rest.
Forgot about those
AH fuck yes, this is why I voiced my problem, I knew there was a faster solution that wouldn’t require cheats!
Railways are cake. Just make sure you stay with their cart so they keep traveling forward. Need to keep them and the world around them rendering and moving
Happy cake day
They built a wall around the village and inside one of the houses they dug below about 4 blocks down and put water to push the villagers to a small 1x3 section and a ladder to the door
This is so they can still interact with the villagers and at the same time not worry about them
My villagers tend to survive longer after they wander into a nether portal.
Post a picture
I'll have to ask him for a screenshot will be a bit
I started a world yesterday and ps4 and a woodland mansion is literally right next to the spawn. Felt really lucky. I can supply the seed if anyone needs it.
Edit: "supply the seed" ha
Seed me daddy.
Could I grab that seed off of you?
Here’s a ps4 seed I randomly started that has a village and woodland mansion at spawn, at least you can see the village from spawn and the mansion from the village. 2 Large ravines near village too
Stronghold is underground about a half a map south of the mansion, library half destroyed though, but it’s directly intertwined with a mineshaft, which seemed nice.
I have two on my 360 seed. Apparently they're more common on consoles, since the world is finite.
What about desert temples?
When are they getting upgraded???
1.14 update, improves village structures and interiors, adds new blocks that spawn in them, villagers get a visual overhaul. Pretty neat stuff.
I think that is a stronghold
Dungeons need it suuuper bad.
I was playing one world a long time ago on Xbox 360 and my and my friends had this amazing little town built. Well I decided to make a 30x30 hole down to bedrock (don't do it please) and I was about to start the next layer and WHAM I broke the stone and I was looking into the stronghold directly at the end portal... About 30 blocks from my bed spawn point I made after wandering around for hours. Thats what I call crazy lucky.
Well they have ocean monuments, they actually look pretty cool, just sucks they are in an ocean
I accidently upvoted you, but you can keep it. You seem like a good fellow
Anything has potential if you transform it
The woodland mansion is only decent on the inside, looks just like a huge block on the outside.
Took me a minute to figure out what you meant by "food builds" - might be helpful to proofread your comments first :P
Wait when are villages getting upgraded ?
When 1.14 goes live. It's currently in pre-release.
Seed and coordinates?
Seed is -244885508, coords are X: 179, Z: 766
Thanks dude is this on Java?
Op is playing on console so no.
Java or Bedrock?
Waaait a minute are crossbows now a thing?!?!?!?
Yeah they’re on Bedrock and are gonna be added in Java 1.14
I'm still not used to the fact that Java is no longer the most up-to-date version.
Hey at least we have good performanc- Wait, it's also worse. At this point I would switch to Bedrock if redstone and technical Minecraft wasn't ruined with the version, mods are keeping me in Java so far.
I use both and they both have their merits, java with all the mods make the rush to end game too easy. Bedrock keeps you honest
That's the thing. After all these years, I don't mind the rush to the end game. I want new mechanics. New stuff to try out. Different recipes or biomes or stuff to explore and check out.
I'm not worried about being honest and getting to the end game in a respectable time now that I've done it. I want the end game to be different.
I just want a caving/mining update
Yea i get it
The point of mods is to add more. Early game modpacks and early game minecraft are very similar. You're getting resources to get everything you use off the ground, building a small home or base, and getting better tools.
Then you start crafting machines of different sorts, and it diverges heavily.
The endgame of vanilla is killing getting heavily enchanted gear, killing the ender dragon, making some neat redstone machines, and farming for and killing the wither.
The endgame of modded is a few dozen hours after that, on Mars fighting alien gods with machineguns that shoot lightning.
There are basic mods that make java wayyyyy easier. Even the F3 screen is a huge help.
You have to basically trick the game into showing you coords in realms and I’m sure it’ll be patched.
Fish farms on java guarantee high end bows and books over night, just a week of afk fishing will have me sorted with mending on all my gear and tools, all of which are maxed out due to the books dropping.
Mending is way more important than I think people understand, without it you have to repair which takes loads of xp, which means more time in the grinder.
Having to make new tools and enchant books with enchantments you don’t want is a lot slower than afk fishing.
I have a system to store librarians and I have one with each enchantment at the highest level. I also grow potatoes, carrots, and pumpkins that I can trade with a farmer for emeralds and experience. The other day I died with all my best gear and couldn't get it back in time, but it only took about 2 hours using my system to get back to having all the best enchantments for my tools and armor.
I haven’t been following for a while. What tf are java and bedrock versions? Is java just the newest pc version?
Thanks in advance!
Edit: thank you all for the quick replies!
Bedrock is the version pre installed on windows 10 machines that enable pc users to cross play with nintendo ans xbox users via an in game multiplayer system called “realms”.
I think Microsoft saw the popularity of multiplayer servers in java as being a missed opportunity to monetize connectivity. Its $4/month for a server for 2 people, it may be $10 for 5 people but I could be wrong, its not over priced but it is kind of annoying after years of joining servers and donating to admins.
They also have skins for sale, something free on java, and now they are slowly rolling out mod support all while pushing bedrock ahead of java in terms of updates and content.
Like someone above said the main drawback is the redstone performance can be unreliable and more rng making redstone a headache compared to its java daddy.
All in all bedrock is a smoother faster version with way better render distance but the devs of the bedrock version seem to be trying purposely to make game breaking exploits a thing of Minecrafts past.
Thanks a lot! It’s great that they are focusing on cross platform as the game is something that is able to connect platforms more easily than most games. I’m glad that the platforms other that pc aren’t just a pain in the ass anymore.
Thank you all for the quick replies!
Yea np, seems like they are trying to squeeze money out of their customers but meh, I’ve gotten a lot of entertainment out of the $100 or so I’ve given them so I don’t care.
I mean it’s a cheap game for 10 years of updates. And I played a good chunk of it on a cracked version because I didn’t have an internet enabled credit card, so I honestly feel kind of bad.
Bedrock is the minecraft C++ rebuild that originally started as the mobile "pocket edition" and later became the more portable multiplatform version. When Microsoft bought Minecraft, they split development across both versions; people were originally pretty upset because they started selling minecraft DLC and don't really allow mods, but that passed relatively quickly as the Java edition was not changed, is still maintained and remains true to its core elements.
Microsoft has treated Minecraft pretty well, IMO!
Thanks, I’m glad the dlcs went away!
They're still on the b3drocl version just not java
Bedrock is the version that every system can run. If you're on your phone, it's on bedrock. If you're on a console like the switch, it's on bedrock. If it's on PC, you can do the bedrock or Java version. Java is the old school version that isn't compatible with others.
This means that a group of friends on a phone, tablet, PC and console can all play together since they're all on the exact same version and completely compatible.
The down side is that mods are severely limited on bedrock version.
Bedrock is the version that every system can run
Bedrock is the version that every system can run
Cries in Mac and Linux...
I guess that’s what they have been working towards, it just took some time to reach.
When dis cross platform become a thing?
Oh definetely! This is only case on case basis, Bedrock has its public and Java does too, fortunately for both parties they are keeping up with the updates.
make the rush to end game too easy
make the rush to end game too easy
Stop playing with garbage mods. Dragonic Evolution and OreSpawn are horrifically balanced and should not represent the modding scene.
Terrafirmacraft, thaumcraft, gregtech and Inudstrialcraft all mods that understand not that the idea of just giving you gear that is 10x better with no cost is fucking dumb.
If you just want a hard modpack Dungeons, Dragons and Space Shuttles keeps you using a stone pick for 2 hours.
Yeah. Mods are the one and only reason I'm still on Java.
What do you mean by "technical minecraft is ruined with the version", though?
Redstone works very differently, entities can't be pushed with pistons, all of this stuff that makes it a pain in the butt, I wonder though if it's still possible to do most of the stuff which, most likely, you can but very much differently.
Redstone is very boring on the bedrock version. The java version seems to going that route too now so most technical players are begrudgingly staying on version 1.12 permanently.
Why, what changed in 1.14?
Both 1.13 and 1.14. I'd have to look up everything. They just removed a lot of useful features for no reason, like chunk loading, and didn't add anything to replace them.
Well here's another reason to stay on Java, the Bedrock edition has absolutely terrible monster spawn rates. If you intend to make xp or item farms in Bedrock they will be slow, inefficient, and frustrating.
The world generation looks much more natural in java. Bedrock is google maps
they are on the 1.14 prelease for java and have existed in snapshots for a long time
There’s more stuff implemented in the Java version than the current bedrock versions, though.
OP is on PS4, no? What is this sorcery?
Edit: Just found out about the update
added in the new upcomming version
And lanterns. Just figured this out last night after dusting it off after a year
PS4 literally just got the surprise update lmao
Made my day off. Shields! Finally! Fuck you, skeletons!
They were in bedrock for awhile but came out on ps4 today
Early in game? See how fast you can gear up and defeat the ender dragon!
those tools suggest developed world
Not super developed tho
Curious, what tools/items suggest super developed?
golden carrots, full set of diamond tools, ender pearls / high experience bar which suggest enderman farm, you can tell by his armor bar that he is not wearing an elytra, also no firework rockets in his hotbar which would be used to power and elytra, just found a stronghold, has torches which means he hasn't fully lit up the areas that he needs lit up
Enderchest, armor that isn’t complete garbage, tridents
Fuck I'm out of date with Minecraft then
How do you have the crossbow?
Just got added today
They’ve been on mobile for a while
PS4 gets everything way later because Microsoft Sony. Which is why I got the Switch version.
Thing is that Nintendo screwed Minecraft over because there's a stupid 2gb limit per profile for saves, which can render all your work in a survival world worthless once you reach that point.
EDIT: whoops, forgot about Sony being the ones who made the decision. My bad
You mean because Sony
Because Sony* Not Microsoft. Sony didn’t allow Minecraft to run cross-platform abilities.
And back when Xbox had the majority market Microsoft was the one who wouldn't allow cross-platform play. Microsoft isn't guilt free.
Edit: that isn't too say it isn't Sony's fault for the late updates, but to clear up the cross-platform connectivity comments
It added to snapshots a while ago
I’ve seen my fair share of strongholds visible from the surface, but I think this is only the second time the library has been! (Other time was that one season of Mindcrack that was also UCH)
do you know what season?
Lemme check (Disclaimer: I may actually be misremembering what I said, I only watched the video once, half a decade ago.)
Nope, looks like I was right!
Generikb Mindcrack Season 4, Episode 3, at 12:20
So how do you play minecraft? Currently I was just working on my enchantment room to get it to max in order to mine and find more diamond (I find solace in finding diamond still). But, What is there to do after that?
I've looked for guides but couldn't really find a decent one to go with past the 'set up base, make a mineshaft, enchant' stages. Mainly just looking for recommendations. Should I just go out and search for places like this? So far I've found one village and took all the stuff. (it didn't have much)
I play on Xbox one so I could just work for all achievements, but outside of that I feel a goal would make me feel better while playing.
get creative. Seriously, I have been playing MC since alpha and have killed the ender dragon maybe 3 times. For me the joy is in the imagination, and the creativity. So far on my newest server I have built:
A trapdoor gatehouse for pagoda
secret exit via waterfall
a canal system that allows boat access to the sea, including functioning locks
a Nether portal w/ train for fast travel, along with regular world "stations"
Things I plan on doing:
Discovering more biomes
collecting the various animals
Map out special locations
connect villages by rail or boat
exploring the world in general
My brother and I are currently in the process of building a rail system to connect our separate bases and villages. It's become an immense undertaking. The progress we have made is pretty awesome but we have a long way to go.
If you're not already doing it, then I'd recommend making two Nether portals (one at each end of the railroad) and then make the railroad itself in the Nether. That means you only have to make 1/8th as long a railroad! Saves on grinding time and cost too if you don't already have all the materials (like gold)
The downside is that you might want to add walls for protection especially from ghasts which could blow up pieces of your railroad. I never added walls to mine though, I like the high risk high reward tradeoff :D
When a buddy and I built one of these Nether railways a couple years ago we enclosed the Nether track entirely in a tunnel of glass so we could still see outside but felt slightly protected.
Yeh that's an awesome idea! I considered something like that but ended up being too lazy for much of anything haha. Half of my Nether railroad is at the top of the Nether though so there's a natural floor / walls for protection at least. Yours would be much cooler to ride though
that’s an awesome idea! can ghastlys shoot fireballs through glass?
Hold up. Functioning locks in your canal system??
yeah, piqued my interest as well. Minecraft water physics are... complex.
I try to look at it this way - you have to have some sort of long-term creative goal. That can be pretty much anything, just something you want to try out. Maybe you want to build a cliff-side castle or modern house or whatever. There are a lot of small goals wrapped up in that: find a suitable location to build (also, get set up enough to enable your ability to explore possibly huge distances - this means surviving long term, having a consistent source of food, having a good steady income of materials for weapons, tools and armor), acquire all the necessary materials (including exotic materials), and design and build the means to transport materials to the location. Once you have all of those things you're essentially playing on creative, just with a few more steps. You have to arrange to have the materials in advance, and you have to get creative with things like scaffolding. Personally I like to do a lot of weird stuff with Redstone without giving too much away. Secret rooms, clever locks, that type of thing. I also like designing efficient storage spaces, although that's something you really need en route to any big project or surviving long term since you'll just accumulate so much stuff and never really know what you need until you need it.
On the way to that self-directed goal of just building the thing you want, you need material from all over - distant biomes (some might be so far away the Nether is the only effective means of getting there), underwater biomes (Prismarine, sea lanterns), the Nether (quartz, potion making and many potion ingredients, blaze rods), the End. Going to The End necessitates killing the Ender Dragon - there's all kinds of considerations and preparation wrapped up in that. And then once you've dealt with the Dragon, there's the Wither to consider, which is even harder. Once you're done with that, if you've finished your project and don't feel like starting another one, there's probably a short list of achievements left for you to obtain. If you're playing with friends, all of that is happening simultaneously at different paces. You can help them collect materials for their projects, help them build, organize together to do the boss fights, and collaborate on larger projects like connecting major locations with railways, comprehensive mapping, and developing complex farm systems so you're better prepared for anything else you might want to undertake.
Is there a way to get rid of the slow mining enchantment to get the prismarine and sea lanterns?
Drink a bucket of milk! Gets rid of all potion effects so do the milk before any potions you bring with. May want to have a potion of waterbreathing
I think the water breathing potion gets rid of the slow mining while swimming? But if you're referring to the Elder Guardian specific debuff, you can either use a Conduit (requires some prismarine and dark prismarine to get working, and one buried treasure chest, but well worth it) to kill them and buff yourself or just use the water breathing potions to go in and clear the temple out yourself. Then the debuffs will stop happening.
What do you mean by clearing the temple? I killed all the elder guardian but the debuff isn’t stopping (I’m sorry I’m asking here but I can’t seem to find how to mine it)
Going to the End is usually the thing to shoot for if you’re looking for a goal. You’ll need some Ender Eyes (crafted from Ender Pearls and some Nether ingredients) to find a stronghold with a portal and activate it. There you can kill the Ender Dragon and get some interesting stuff, there should be plenty of information out there on it.
Modding keeps it fresh for me. I'm currently playing through Sevtech Ages and while it's a bit of a grind at times, it's keeping me engaged in the game and it encourages/requires exploration (vs. 'I guess I'll just walk/dig in this direction and see if I come across anything'). Vanilla gets quite old quite fast for me unfortunately.
That was my favorite thing about the game Subnautica. Still has fairly open exploration, freedom to develop a base however you would like, no rush to do anything, but also there's a very specific and definite victory condition and a reasonably complete plot to piece together when you feel like looking for it.
I felt the same way, I've spent much more time in the overworld setting up villages/towns!
I currently have a small but respectable snow mansion, large green house, library, and look out tower on the eastern edge of the town. All made from local spruce wood to give the snow town a nice aesthetic feel. Oh! Also just finished a port as the town is on the edge of a harbor, but still working on that.
My next aim is to build a minecart track to connect a few points on our map, so always trying to build something new! Will likely create a transport hub for that as well.
For me, getting all the achievements pretty much made me experience the whole game. If you’re more of a builder though, it might take away from your base.
I remember when I first started playing this game. Do to the way my first world generated, I made a lot of connections to world generation that didn't exist. Like:
I wish I could forget everything I know about Minecraft to go back to that feeling of the unknown.
I think we all do.
It’s only one of three games I’ve bought ‘new’ willingly, and am thinking about doing it again for my ps4.
Better preserved than the Notre Dame Cathedral.
crafts flint and steel
Aye PS4 gang
That's an xbox but ya ps4 is better
That is too a PS4 because it has the x and the triangle.
Oh shit Sorry thought it was
You are all good.
I wonder what's down there... Hope it's a Stronghold!
Staples: That was easy.
Ah, the open-topped library. A true wonder of architecture.
It's good for all books to get a healthy dose of rain now and then.
Have been off minecraft for a while. Can anyone tell me what bedrock java and legacy are please. Would appreciate it
Bedrock is the “newer” version of Minecraft that runs on Windows 10, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. It is now the first version to get all updates and is now Minecraft’s main and most popular version. It does have some limited mods and you can make your own texture packs, add-ons, etc free of charge. You can also install them free of charge on all devices (although this is not entirely functional on the Nintendo Switch iirc).
Java is the original version that has all the mods and packs that we all know about.
Legacy console edition is PS3, PS4, Xbox 360. They have been abandoned (except PS4) and have the least features and this edition is the worst that still exists. Not even a subjective thing, it just lacks features that the other versions have. This version does not have command blocks or commands.
Where would the PSvita fall for those?
No, I don't like books. Or spiders.
Do you like a new dimension?
Yes but... I don't like dragons either.
ok but have you considered
E G G
I don't like eggs.
Interestingly, that seed on java Minecraft 1.8.9 also has a ravine with a library at those coordinates
I remember back in the 360 days when the world was only 1 map, i used the seed "Africa" because i thought it would have diamonds and i spawned close to a ravine that had the end portal near the bottom.
Put a roof on it, put a bed inside and call it home.
Thats quite the open concept architecture
I’ve been trying to run survival without killing any non hostile mobs, but I still kill cows because I need the leather for enchanting. Now I might try a total non-kill run.
What is the seed, and is this Java?
wat is seed and coordinate
I found a normal shaft in a ravine literally 10 seconds into starting a new world, are they all guaranteed to have the enchanting room?
Someone casted a VERY powerful spell
Hmm... I wonder what this would be doing here
WTH is wrong with your bow?
i found the same thing in a desert in a world i was doing a speed run on. helped out a lot
i have played minecraft since 2012 and i have only found ONE of these
That's pretty epic
Your right, that is convenient.
Bedrock world generation is apparently pretty strange with respect to mineshaft generation lately. I hear it will be fixed in 1.11
equally convenient is the one I found exposed in an ocean
man i love minecraft
Seed and coordinates NOW
Nice to see the air hooks are working for the light fixture
What is that?
It's the stronghold's library.
I've found one in the ocean before. That was pretty cool. I just had to poke holes in each of the big rooms until I found the library. There were even two!
what platform and seed is this?
Minecraft-spawned buildings be like igloo right next to a desert
Haven’t seen one of those or a woodland mansions in a long time like a year or more since woodland got added and haven’t seen a library since forever
This underground library reminds me of the one from Avatar the Last Airbender with the giant owl
Is that a texture back or was the sword texture changed?
I'll never forget the time that sugarcane farming led me to a stronghold.
I had a sugarcane line on the edge of many beaches that stretched across my world. One day I look around and I see a light in the ocean while harvesting some sugar cane, I check it out, and sure enough, its a stronghold. 10 year old me will never forget the moment I screamed at my friends that I found a stronghold.
Oddly enough, that's actually how if found my first stronghold. It was around May of 2012. I spent hours travelling through my survival world, hoping to find a jungle. I found one, and got the saplings and cocoa beans I needed. However, I had completely forgotten which way my house was. I didn't know how to use coordinates, so I thought I should just give up and die so I can search again later. I entered a cave, hoping to find a lava pit to jump in. However, after a few minutes of travelling through it with no food left, I found myself at a high up entrance to a dark, massive underground ravine. Before I jumped down into the lava below, I noticed something. On the other side of the ravine, there was a strange, lit up wooden structure with rows of bookshelves inside of it. In retrospect, it was an open-air stronghold library, although at the time, I thought it was a glitch where a village building generated underground. I travelled down to it, and explored it. I had absolutely no idea what it was. I just wandered around for hours, trying to learn about it. I ended up either starving to death or getting shot by a skeleton.
Had one like this where it was a double village with a ravine in the middle and the end room at the bottom
Is this java or windows
that's a stronghold, right?
Give me the seed snd coordinates
Librarys are a thing?
OMG I totally forgot that these exists
What is this? It doesn’t look like any regular village building
I play java edition and I have never once encountered it. Can u describe it for me?
Free end portal!
DUDE I tried to make a fireplace and nearly burned my house down
In all of my years playing Minecraft I never found one of those.
This makes me a little bit sad
Whats that?? I avent played since 2015 veteran here
Also what the fuck is that a crossbow??? Youre playing with arms mod right???
You really need to get back into Minecraft lol
That’s a library usually found in strongholds.
Also crossbows are now a thing.
I remember one time I was wondering around and was like “I need an abandoned mineshaft” then totally changed my direction and fell into a ravine, landed in water, looked up, and saw an abandoned mineshaft
Can I have the seed
My end portal was right on a mineshaft
No it's, bad design, maybe even r/crappydesign
Well, that was a freebie...
this seed would be great for one of those like try not to break a block challenge
They got even smarter now and block the doors in in stronghold by a stone wall. I spent nearly 30 minutes trying to figure out the way to the library and the portal rool essentially, so i had to go into spectator mode and find out that stone wall was blocking the door, so there is no way I would have found the passage.
A better uhc find than diamonds.
What a catholic plea
That a mine shaft or a stronghold?
