From what I can gather, he made a post with the tag 'marchforlife' saying he's thankful that his girlfriend exists, and everyone took it and ran with the idea that he wants to force pro-life on everyone.

He later sent out a statement saying he doesn't like the current Republican party and votes Democrat. He said he and his wife hold Christian beliefs and that separation of church and state is good.

So what I take from this is that a bunch of idiots who wanted something to be angry about got angry because someone had opinions. Not even someone tried to force those opinions on others. Smh.

Yeah, it's a real shame that he (understandably) stopped posting here, and pretty shitty that he got harassed so much for what amounts to a mellow sharing of support for those who choose not to abort.

Although it's pretty fucking hilarious to see all the clickbait articles written about it. They make it sound like he's strongly advocating for rape victims to give birth and then the only evidence they provide is the one media post with the hashtag. Koalas are fucking horrible animals.

They have one of the smallest brain to body ratios of any mammal, additionally - their brains are smooth. A brain is folded to increase the surface area for neurons. If you present a koala with leaves plucked from a branch, laid on a flat surface, the koala will not recognise it as food. They are too thick to adapt their feeding behaviour to cope with change. In a room full of potential food, they can literally starve to death. This is not the token of an animal that is winning at life. Speaking of stupidity and food, one of the likely reasons for their primitive brains is the fact that additionally to being poisonous, eucalyptus leaves (the only thing they eat) have almost no nutritional value. They can't afford the extra energy to think, they sleep more than 80% of their fucking lives. When they are awake all they do is eat, shit and occasionally scream like fucking satan.

Because eucalyptus leaves hold such little nutritional value, koalas have to ferment the leaves in their guts for days on end. Unlike their brains, they have the largest hind gut to body ratio of any mammal.

Many herbivorous mammals have adaptations to cope with harsh plant life taking its toll on their teeth, rodents for instance have teeth that never stop growing, some animals only have teeth on their lower jaw, grinding plant matter on bony plates in the tops of their mouths, others have enlarged molars that distribute the wear and break down plant matter more efficiently...

Koalas are no exception, when their teeth erode down to nothing, they resolve the situation by starving to death, because they're fucking terrible animals.

Being mammals, koalas raise their joeys on milk (admittedly, one of the lowest milk yields to body ratio... There's a trend here).

When the young joey needs to transition from rich, nourishing substances like milk, to eucalyptus (a plant that seems to be making it abundantly clear that it doesn't want to be eaten), it finds it does not have the necessary gut flora to digest the leaves. To remedy this, the young joey begins nuzzling its mother's anus until she leaks a little diarrhoea (actually fecal pap, slightly less digested), which he then proceeds to slurp on.

This partially digested plant matter gives him just what he needs to start developing his digestive system. Of course, he may not even have needed to bother nuzzling his mother. She may have been suffering from incontinence. Why?

Because koalas are riddled with chlamydia. In some areas the infection rate is 80% or higher. This statistic isn't helped by the fact that one of the few other activities koalas will spend their precious energy on is rape.

Despite being seasonal breeders, males seem to either not know or care, and will simply overpower a female regardless of whether she is ovulating. If she fights back, he may drag them both out of the tree, which brings us full circle back to the brain:

Koalas have a higher than average quantity of cerebrospinal fluid in their brains. This is to protect their brains from injury... should they fall from a tree.

An animal so thick it has its own little built in special ed helmet. I fucking hate them.

Tldr; Koalas are stupid, leaky, STI riddled sex offenders. But, hey. They look cute.

If you ignore the terrifying snake eyes and terrifying feet.

I don't know why it is that these things bother me---it just makes me picture a seven year old first discovering things about an animal and, having no context about the subject, ranting about how stupid they are. I get it's a joke, but people take it as an actual, educational joke like it's a man yelling at the sea, and that's just wrong. Furthermore, these things have an actual impact on discussions about conservation efforts---If every time Koalas get brought up, someone posts this copypasta, that means it's seriously shaping public opinion about the animal and their supposed lack of importance.

Non-ecologists always talk this way, and the problem is you’re looking at this backwards. An entire continent is covered with Eucalyptus trees. They suck the moisture out of the entire surrounding area and use allelopathy to ensure that most of what’s beneath them is just bare red dust. No animal is making use of them——they have virtually no herbivore predator. A niche is empty. Then inevitably, natural selection fills that niche by creating an animal which can eat Eucalyptus leaves. Of course, it takes great sacrifice for it to be able to do so——it certainly can’t expend much energy on costly things. Isn’t it a good thing that a niche is being filled?

Koalas are no exception, when their teeth erode down to nothing, they resolve the situation by starving to death

This applies to all herbivores, because the wild is not a grocery store—where meat is just sitting next to celery. Herbivores gradually wear their teeth down—carnivores fracture their teeth, and break their bones in attempting to take down prey.

They have one of the smallest brain to body ratios of any mammal

It's pretty typical of herbivores, and is higher than many, many species. According to Ashwell (2008), their encephalisation quotient is 0.5288 +/- 0.051. Higher than comparable marsupials like the wombat (~0.52), some possums (~0.468), cuscus (~0.462) and even some wallabies are <0.5. According to wiki, rabbits are also around 0.4, and they're placental mammals.

additionally - their brains are smooth. A brain is folded to increase the surface area for neurons.

Again, this is not unique to koalas. Brain folds (gyri) are not present in rodents, which we consider to be incredibly intelligent for their size.

If you present a koala with leaves plucked from a branch, laid on a flat surface, the koala will not recognise it as food.

If you present a human with a random piece of meat, they will not recognise it as food (hopefully). Fresh leaves might be important for koala digestion, especially since their gut flora is clearly important for the digestion of Eucalyptus. It might make sense not to screw with that gut flora by eating decaying leaves.

Because eucalyptus leaves hold such little nutritional value, koalas have to ferment the leaves in their guts for days on end. Unlike their brains, they have the largest hind gut to body ratio of any mammal.

That's an extremely weird reason to dislike an animal. But whilst we're talking about their digestion, let's discuss their poop. It's delightful. It smells like a Eucalyptus drop!

Being mammals, koalas raise their joeys on milk (admittedly, one of the lowest milk yields to body ratio... There's a trend here).

Marsupial milk is incredibly complex and much more interesting than any placentals. This is because they raise their offspring essentially from an embryo, and the milk needs to adapt to the changing needs of a growing fetus. And yeah, of course the yield is low; at one point they are feeding an animal that is half a gram!

Humans probably do this, we just likely do it during childbirth. You know how women often shit during contractions? There is evidence to suggest that this innoculates a baby with her gut flora. A child born via cesarian has significantly different gut flora for the first six months of life than a child born vaginally.

Of course, he may not even have needed to bother nuzzling his mother. She may have been suffering from incontinence. Why? Because koalas are riddled with chlamydia. In some areas the infection rate is 80% or higher.

Chlamydia was introduced to their populations by humans. We introduced a novel disease that they have very little immunity to, and is a major contributor to their possible extinction. Do you hate Native Americans because they were killed by smallpox and influenza?

This statistic isn't helped by the fact that one of the few other activities koalas will spend their precious energy on is rape. Despite being seasonal breeders, males seem to either not know or care, and will simply overpower a female regardless of whether she is ovulating. If she fights back, he may drag them both out of the tree,

Almost every animal does this.

which brings us full circle back to the brain: Koalas have a higher than average quantity of cerebrospinal fluid in their brains. This is to protect their brains from injury... should they fall from a tree. An animal so thick it has its own little built in special ed helmet. I fucking hate them.

Errmmm.. They have protection against falling from a tree, which they spend 99% of their life in? Yeah... That's a stupid adaptation.

I literally just read an amazon review where a woman described tissue paper as “worthless to her” because the color was teal and she wanted to use it for her baby shower.

Obviously, if she uses teal instead of blue nobody would know what kind of genitals the baby has and the fabric of the universe tear apart.

Amazon reviews for kid items have some real gems. There were a bunch of low reviews for some toy “leashes” (things to tie toys to a chair or whatever so the kid doesn’t chuck it on the floor) saying that they were useless because some had flowers so they couldn’t be used for boys. I got them anyway. My boy hasn’t turned into a girl yet!

When I worked at a tea store, a lady came in looking for a Christmas gift for some male relative (can't remember if it was husband, son, cousin, or what) and was looking at our four designs for tea thermoses. They were all pretty neutral in my opinion; there was one that had a bit more pink that would probably be considered feminine, but the rest were neutral (the designs I remember best are a multi-colored geometric design and a holly berry one). We also had plain colors, in standard green, red, silver, etc.

I was extremely confused when she asked for my opinion on which one was more masculine. Like..... It's just a Christmas themed tea container. corporate doesn't tell me what gender is supposed to buy/own it, they just tell me what the price is. I tried explaining that they're all pretty neutral, they're meant to be appealing to anyone, but she was really adamant the one of them had to be masculine.

Honestly she chose a terrible person to ask, bc I've never understood gendered items, and I really suck at figuring out which gender something is supposed to be for.

My sister bought my firstborn a high chair for the baby shower. Upon opening it, we all realized it came in the “wrong” color (aka not blue). She offered to exchange it but I was like, it’s a functional high chair, idc what color it is.

I did the gender reveal at y baby shower because I didn't want people buying needlesy gendered items as gifts. My aunt was convinced it was going to be a bit so she bought a toy hippo that plays soft music, it was blue. When I revealed that is was a girl my aunt apologized and said she could exchange the toy. I told her babies can't even distinguish colors so I don't think she'll care the hippo is blue.

You realize there's loads of differences beyond genitals right? From bone density, muscle mass, average height, intelligence distribution, common interests, aggression, skeletal structure, growth rates, I can keep going if you want?

There actually is a difference in toy preference even at the infant stage:

Common interests and aggression is mostly created by the expectations and environment you grew up in, and the other things you listed differ way more on an individual level than they differ between the sexes

DealArtist
0

Common interests are not based on expectations and environment, in fact it has been shown that the less restrictions you place on gender based opportunity, the differences in common interests actually increase. Females tend towards hobbies and professions based on interactions with people, where males gravitate towards objects. It's why there's such a huge disparity in the workforce in both engineering and nursing, it's also present in something as simple as toy selection in children.

Aggression differences are based mostly on testosterone levels, you can get women to be as aggressive as men on average if you pump them full of testosterone.

Your next statement that there's more differences on the individual level than between the sexes is also incorrect, you don't normalize by random selection. The physical differences between men and women are vast. Men are a full standard deviation stronger than women on average, meaning the weakest 10% of men are stronger than 90% of women.

I have two daughters, and I want them to be given the same level of opportunity as anyone else in the world, and I believe this is completely possible without spreading misinformation and lies about the differences between sexes.

mistermoob

Common interests are not based on expectations and environment, in fact it has been shown that the less restrictions you place on gender based opportunity, the differences in common interests actually increase.

Sounds interesting actually, do you have a source on that?

I am inclined to believe that some of what you are saying is true, and maybe i am moving the goalpost by saying this, but what i think is most important is not what differences are biological and which are not. I think we should stop putting gendered expectations on our children and just let them be, because those gendered roles do more harm than good in my opinion (not only do they hurt cis people by limiting their interest and ways of expression, but also do they hurt trans people by fucking over their youth with unattainable expectations).

Now if people born with certain genitals tend to gravitate towards specific interests then i do not care

Why do people who don't have any citations ask for citations when someone responds to them.

https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0153857

This is a study of 760 thousand people in 68 countries, and there are dozens of others which also confirm it.

Not that this matters to you, your mind is made up and proof that goes against your internal beliefs will be ignored outright. "These gendered roles do more harm than good in my opinion". So you're saying that parents across the world should change how we raise our children because you believe it may cause harm, but you are unable to provide anything to back your claim up. That takes a lot of chutzpah!

mistermoob
2

I appreciate you citing a study though it really only addresses mathematical anxiety, and neither does it refute the idea that socio-cultural factors play a role in the difference between the sexes:

Our rejection of the gender stratification hypothesis is not a general rejection of the idea that socio-cultural factors may play an important role explaining sex differences in mathematics anxiety and more general in educational and occupational choices. In fact, there are a number of alternative models that focus on the socio-cultural factors (e.g., [69–71]), and our current data set does not further address the details of such models. Our main point is that there is a lack of evidence to support the assumption that economic or educational inequities are responsible for today’s observed sex differences in mathematics affect, attitudes, and performance.

And yea i recognize that it is a bold claim to say that i think gendered roles do more harm than good and i do concede that this is just speculation (I haven't looked up studies on this oh no)

My first comment may have been reductionist in claiming facts, though i stand by the idea that yes, parents can improve the way they raise their children in regards to gendered expectations.

Mecca1101
2

And yea i recognize that it is a bold claim to say that i think gendered roles do more harm than good

No it’s not. A gender role is a forced expectation that because you’re born male or born female, in turn you must have an obligation to fulfill certain roles. This is an inherently harmful concept because the people who simply fall outside of these expectations are then forced to follow them and are unable to have full autonomy in their life’s choices.

Instead of saying that because you are a male or female you must fill a role, we can instead say that you can fill whatever roles feels most preferable to yourself as an individual and you have the personal freedom and autonomy to follow your own life’s path.

Don’t raise people with the expectation that they must become a parent or must have a certain career type, just let people decide for themselves.

cute_stuffs
2

Actually we see that as countries try their best to equalize the genders, the differences in occupation maximise. So the freer men and women are, the more different they choose to be. This means that there is a significant biological impact on interest.

As for intelligence distribution, I don't see how experience would affect that?

loveatfirstbump
1

that is super interesting. i guess it could be more complicated, but that association certainly seems to suggest a biology-based difference. i wonder if the same thing occurs with interests outside of occupations.

and for intelligence, experiential effects are strong because intelligences are fluid. obvious examples are the taxi cab studies. so while males may be predisposed to better navigation skills (based on hippocampal volume), the influence of training that area far outweighs any inherent differences. obviously there are stastically significant gender-based differences, but intelligences seem to be an area where nurture has a bigger role than nature.

cute_stuffs
1

I'm not sure about interests outside of occupation but I'm fairly certain that this applies to the choice of study in University as well.

As for the intelligence part, I think it depends on how you define it. If I understand you correctly you say that a trained female taxi driver would do better than an untrained male taxi driver, which is obvious. But I don't think that that was what the OP here was talking about when he said intelligence. I believe he was referring to something like IQ or general intelligence (the g-factor). The g-factor barely changes througout one's life and is almost certainly predominantly based in biology.

My daughter looks really nice in blue. It confused so many people, it’s ridiculous. Even doctors were visibly like: huh, this sheet says it’s a girl but the kid is wearing blue. Better play it safe and say “he”. It wasn’t even baby blue, it was dark blue.

TeaPartyInTheGarden

My daughter wore a hell of a lot of navy and charcoal in her first ... well, five years as she’s five years old.

Certainly as an androgynous baby and toddler and I was making all her clothing choices she wore lots of darkish neutral colours that don’t show up too many stains. There’d be a pink lining of a hood, or a sparkly/butterfly/girly-whatever decal on the front of a tee shirt. But, nope! She was a he to strangers!

(She chooses a fair bit of pink and purple and sparkly these days.)

I had the reverse with her younger brother because you betcha he wore her hand-me-downs! The tiniest amount of pink or floral on a boy? People notice!!

Mecca1101

Jackstery

Isn’t brown just some low orange/red/etc light? And grey the same but with white (so, all the colors at the same time, but not as bright)?

I mean, magenta is a real color because color is the simulation in your head, regardless of what the input is. It’s just that magenta is the only color that doesn’t have its own wavelength. Magenta is just our brain tying the light spectrum into a full circle (and also giving an output for violet light + red light instead of leaving it blank). It’s like a fake color. Personally I think that’s a fascinating fun fact.

If you also find that sorta thing interesting, you should look up “impossible colors”. There still need to be more studies done on the subject, though.

Mecca1101

But if you saw a baby in a pink onesie you would generally assume it to be a girl because the idea that pink = girl and blue = boy has been so engrained in society now.

Think of it as a courtesy to strangers. You ever called a dude with long hair "miss," or a lady with short hair "sir"? Its awkward as fuck. Imagine somebody sees you walking down the street with your baby, and they want to tell you that you and your partner's genes made a very cool baby; they just want to correctly call it by the right word without an awkward exchange. The baby is a baby, it doesn't care what the fuck you call it, but a simple color-coding avoids an uncomfortable exchange for both you and a random stranger, who might very much care about avoiding such circumstances.

Louis XIV of France. He was 5ft 4in (1.63m) and supplemented his stature by a further 4in (10cm) with heels, often elaborately decorated with depictions of battle scenes.
The heels and soles were always red - the dye was expensive and carried a martial overtone. The fashion soon spread overseas - Charles II of England's coronation portrait of 1661 features him wearing a pair of enormous red, French style heels - although he was over 6ft (1.85m) to begin with.
In the 1670s, Louis XIV issued an edict that only members of his court were allowed to wear red heels.

Why can’t people just say “aww that’s a cute baby” or “whats their name”? It’s not that hard.

Why does it matter if I dress my SON in blue to let others know that we have just given birth to a BOY? To each their own...

Mecca1101
2

Um, no one’s saying that you can’t. But it doesn’t really make sense because there’s no logical connection between arbitrary colors and sex. And then it creates problems because boys are bullied and insulted for simply wearing or liking the color pink despite it literally just being a color. If you want people to know the sex of your baby why not just tell them that he’s a boy?

FullMTLjacket
1

Why can’t we just name our babies “Human #1123836” so that why they don’t have to have a masculine or feminine name

Mecca1101
1

Um what? People can name their kids whatever name but that has nothing to do with the color of clothing. Like I said, if you want someone to know the sex of your baby you can simply tell them. For example if someone asks your baby’s name you can introduce him by saying, “this is my son, [name]”. This is normal human communication so it shouldn’t really be that difficult for you. Anyway, you’re clearly invested in a straw man argument so I don’t think it’s worth it to talk to you anymore.

Mecca1101
1

Why not just raise your kid to know not to bully anyone for the color of their clothing in the first place? The entire reason why boys would be seen as feminine if they wear pink is because people keep reinforcing the idea that only girls can wear pink.

If everyone let go of those ideas and stopped telling their sons that they can’t have something because it’s pink, then pink can go back to just being a regular color that doesn’t mean anything.

Dress your children in whatever color you want, it's no one's business but your own. Sure, society has some peculiar gender norms, but you're not harming anything by putting a girl in pink or a boy in blue.

Lest you think me a Chad, my boy has pink shoes.

And so did I when I was young.

This made me think, and I guess every color is gendered to me (not that I'm trying to gender them, but that society has gendered them for me) "Boy colors": blue, orange, green, "Girl colors": pink, yellow, purple

Red is the only one that is kind of on the border of how I think society would gender it. I think boy, but it could go both ways.

Reddit has a thread now where Reddit users are sharing their opinions on the idea. I don’t really see people calling for an end to gendered baby clothes or really making much of an issue about it. It’s a post, some people feel one way some a different way. This is the comment section for that post. Just because people upvote this post or use the comments to question a societal norm doesn’t mean there is some outrage train behind it.

Thanks for the new word/phrase, guess you learn something new every day https://www.lexico.com/en/definition/non_sequitur

As for my parody of OP, the dude was straight up denying the existence of (non-binary) trans people by mockery through a transphobic joke.

It is not for OP to believe in their existence, same as other previous "controversial" identities and ideas.

cute_stuffs
3

If say I'm a unicorn, does that mean you have to say unicorns are real? Wouldn't you be 'denying my existence'?

mashimoshi
1

Lol, is this a shot at sex vs. gender? No, just like a man born with XX-chromosomes will always have those chromosomes, you are not a magical horse with a horn just by feeling like it. But seeing as gender identity does not have anything to do with the physical properties of a person (their gender expression, among other things), I fail to see the purpose of your unicorn comparison (apart from calling enbies fiction).

cute_stuffs
1

you are not a magical horse with a horn just by feeling like it.

Exactly and you're also not some made-up gender just because you feel like it.

mashimoshi
1

I got to ask again, is this a shot at sex vs. gender? Because you seem confused about what gender and gender identity is. Although the majority of people live comfortable lives with the gender they were assigned at birth (male, female, based on their "chromosomes" [read: genitals]), some people don't. It can vary from just feeling more right with another gender identity, to straight up feeling crippling gender dysphoria due to the way you present (your gender expression).

If you're actually interested in understanding the difference, I'd recommend Wikipedia's article on gender, as it's a nice starting point.

But then again, if you're anything like I was a couple of years back, you might just prefer to go around denying the existence of trans people because you don't understand what gender is. I know I did.

cute_stuffs
1

Oh I thought that was a rhetorical question lol. I don't deny the existence of trans people, it's the people who think they are neither man or woman that I don't believe. So yes, it was a shot at sex vs gender. As far as I can tell gender identity is the gender you choose to identify as. Since you state that what gender someone identifies as, is not impacted by your physical body. I wonder then what the difference I between me identifying as some third gender and me identifying as a unicorn. Why can someone choose their gender at will but not their species? After all, it doesn't matter that I don't have 4 hooves and a beautiful horn, what seems to matter is that I feel like I do.

Green_Bulldog
1

You seriously believe in all the genders people have made up? Believing in non-binary is one thing, but there’s people that claim their gender changes based on their environment or who they’re around. It’s pretty ignorant to compare that to homophobia or sexism.

Really? I find that very odd. They’re criticizing you for letting your daughter decide about her own body. People forget that children, especially female children, have and deserve a level of bodily autonomy.

I remember growing up, my parents would sometimes try to force me to wear certain types of clothes even though it was really upsetting to me... and that’s really not acceptable.

Parents forget that their children and individual humans with their own personalities and they’re not just an extension of themselves.

mrchooch
-3

If that's your experience, then i'm sorry that you've arbitrarily limited yourself so much, and defined yourself by something so meaningless. Personally my gender has had almost no influence on my life since I stopped being a child and was able to decide things for myself. Why define myself by what society expects a man to be, when i can just define myself by who i am?

sandratcellar
9

First of all, being a man affects you in ways you don't even perceive. You have different brain chemistry than women and don't always see the world the same way. Secondly, even if all that weren't the case, you're treated as a man, which is entirely different than being treated as a woman.

Gender isn't a small thing; it's massive. Our species is divided into two: men and women. Trying to pretend that that's a small part of life is completely absurd. So yes, gender reveal parties make sense. The life of a boy and the life of a girl aren't the same.

Joble02

Not sure if you’re trolling but...when people dress babies, there’s a tendency to color co-ordinate their clothing based on gender/sex, and since as a tiny mini-human other secondary sexual-identification attributes have yet to manifest, one is basically dressing them color-coded in terms of which genitals they possess

8-bit-Heart

Yes, but normal people are thinking, "Oh it's a boy/girl!" Not, "Oh, it's a penis/vagina!"

LGBT demographics of the United States

The demographics of sexual orientation and gender identity in the United States have been studied in the social sciences in recent decades. A 2017 Gallup poll concluded that 4.5% of adult Americans identified as LGBT with 5.1% of women identifying as LGBT, compared with 3.9% of men. A different survey in 2016, from the Williams Institute, estimated that 0.6% of U.S. adults identify as transgender.Studies from several nations, including the U.S., conducted at varying time periods, have produced a statistical range of 1.2 to 6.8 percent of the adult population identifying as LGBT. Online surveys tend to yield higher figures than other methods, a likely result of the higher degree of anonymity of Internet surveys, and demographic of those utilizing online platforms which elicit reduced levels of socially desirable responding. The U.S. Census Bureau does not ask about sexual orientation in the United States Census.

The link you gave gives figures from 5-0.6%. 1 in 20 is pretty big. I just don't really understand why people ascribe so much importance to it, that's all. Who cares what sex/gender your child is? It makes literally no difference unless you're talking to them about sex or gender related issues (like puberty), which most people won't be.

Well, no. The 5% includes all LGBT people. Most of which would be gay or bisexual. That’s not a different gender. It’s not that it’s important, I just don’t think anyone needs to act like they don’t know their kids gender until what? The age of 14 before they can make a reasonable choice that they’re trans.

I get the joke. It's just not funny. It takes a borderline sick absurdity and tries to make a joke out of it.

The shock and awe reaction of people getting corrected that the little baby in blue is actually a “she” and not a “he” reveals that people do, in fact, consider gender when they look at how a baby is dressed. I’m not saying it has to be a good or bad thing, but you can’t act like parents aren’t making some type of statement to dress girls in pink and boys in blue.

I agree except that it's a joke and technically true when you think about it.

That being said, you're right and people need to stop overthinking things if its gonna bother them

What's that description? "Don't gender our bathrooms?" I'm sorry but I wouldn't personally want a woman walking in when I've got my wang out and im sure she wouldn't want a man walking in and getting his dick out in front of her

Unless you're peeking into stalls that really shouldn't be a problem

I was meaning urinals

Easy, just have a few of the stalls be urinals. It's awkward af without them anyway, thought that could just be me...

Or they are telling you if they are having a boy or girl. You know.... Something most parents do. Sorry everyone doesn’t name their kid Pat and pretend they are it’s because someone thinks that’s cool or something.

I just don't understand why people care what genitals anyone has, except those that they are having some kind of sexual relation with. It' makes me agry.

Why do tumblr-users always write in all caps? Is there a specific reason?

how dare you colorize my child's gender

AFrayedknot56

When my child was a baby they were in a color coded car seat/carrier, onesie, socks and all included a toy and people still assumed the other gender. Maybe it was my fault, maybe these old ladies were ahead of their time and knew what my child wanted to be when they grew up or something. So far they seem pretty happy with the way they were born but maybe one day they will be screaming at a poor worker at GameStop that "It's ma'am!" When he uses the wrong identifier.
